Just some thoughts…
Last night, Lindsay came over and we watched the tube for a while and then played Cranium, which sparked so many funny moments. (I want everyone to come over and play Cranium with me all the time because I think it’s the best game ever.) Anyway… before we started playing I was showing Lindsay some of my old pictures from Auburn on Facebook (where else?) and I came across an album with pictures of my dad that fateful night that Katie and I met my parents in Newnan to get my new car (I am spoiled). Annnnd I feel the need to share one of them that, to me, really captures my dad:
"I am so glad your dad understands Newton’s second law of motion… that will probably save a life someday."
Story behind the caption and why my dad is one of the funniest people I know: Emmy (my Gamma Phi big sis and wonderful friend extraordinaire and the one who wrote the caption) and I were coming through Atlanta to go to the Ben Harper concert and we met my parents in Atlantic Station for a yummy dinner at Copeland’s/Cheesecake Factory (or whatever it’s called). One of us started talking about some idiot who did something completely worthy of a Darwin Award (I mean, man I am just SO descriptive… I just can’t recall the exact happening) and my dad said: He just clearly ignored Newton’s second law of motion! Being totally serious and unintentionally hilarious at the same time, which then led to him recalling exactly what Newton’s second law is and why it just can’t be ignored. And that, my friends, is my dad in a teeny tiny nutshell. Just giving some official props to my dad for how awesome he is and for always keeping me and my friends entertained. Mother’s Day is coming up and my mom will get her own blog for that. Get ready, it’s probably going to be hi-what for it.. larious. (if you know my mom, you KNOW it will be).
I am so lucky and blessed (except multiply that by 239847239847234) to have my parents in my life. They are some of the best a girl could ask for and have been there to provide for me, ground me and support me in every endeavor I’ve taken on. They’re the best and this is one more reason I am just so spoiled.
Probably more blogging to be done later in true procrastinator style. I have a huge paper due in the morning, so you know it’s coming.
